Wilo-SiBoost Smart Helix EXCEL is driven by controlled, high efficiency EC motors. One motor is installed for each pump, with a rated power of 2.2 to 3.2 kilowatts, depending on the pump model. The hydraulic system is also designed for high efficiency. Hydraulic flow is optimised throughout the system to ensure that pressure losses are much lower than in conventional devices. The three-dimensionally shaped impellers also play a part here. Compared to flat vanes, the impellers offer less resistance to the flow of water. Furthermore, the pipes within the pressure boosting system have a new flow-optimised design at their junctions that also minimises pressure loss. All the hydraulic components are made of stainless steel, giving them excellent corrosion protection.

The same user interface with an LC display is installed at the control element and on the pumps. As with other Wilo products, the devices are equipped with “red-button technology”, designed for quick and easy configuration and status recording. In addition, Wilo-SiBoost Smart Helix EXCEL can communicate via bus connection to building management systems like LON, MODbus and BACnet.
